Winter in Krakow

A magical time in an extraordinary place

Winter

Discover

the winter side of Kraków

Winter in Kraków is truly enchanting with its Christmas decorations and lights. This means a big Christmas tree in the centre of Market Square and multiple stalls with angels, glass balls, and warm gloves, as a Christmas Market is organised every year. Apart from the abundance of things to buy, one can drink mulled wine, eat a grilled sausage, and take a carriage ride, wrapped in a warm blanket.

The atmosphere in the numerous restaurants and pubs is hot despite the temperature outside, and festivals and concerts offer a vast repertoire. The biggest New Year’s Eve event in Poland takes place on the last day of the year, on an enormous stage near Cloth Hall. Unforgettable artists’ performances and striking visuals entertain thousands of people until the early hours of the morning.
